1 / 3 · The call

01 / The call

It starts with a conversation.

Your caller hears your business name, your words and a calm, natural voice. The assistant asks what they need, without making them work through a menu.

Your greeting. Your hours. Your way of doing business.
02 / The action

Then it gets things done.

Find a customer. Check an available time. Capture a new job or pass an urgent call to the right person. You choose the tools and the boundaries.

Connected to your software, with rules you control.
03 / The handover

You pick up where it left off.

The details reach your phone and your connected software. Who called, what they needed, and what happens next. No mystery missed calls.

A clear summary, with the conversation on record.

It knows your business, not business in general

Everything it says on a call comes from something you gave it. Your services. Your hours. Your documents. It does not fill the gaps in with guesses, and when it has nothing it says so.

Your services and what they cost

It quotes what you charge, in the words you use for it. A callout is a callout. A groom is a groom. If a price depends on the job it says that instead of picking a number.

Your hours, kept on the number

Open, closed, half day Saturday, public holidays. The clock lives on the phone number, so a +61 line keeps Australian time and a +64 line keeps ours. It will not offer Tuesday and mean Wednesday.

Your documents

The price list, the terms, the service area, the warranty, the FAQ you keep retyping into emails. Load them once and it answers out of them.

Your own document What the caller hears

Our callout is charged at the rate on our price list, and I cannot quote the repair until somebody has seen it.

Straight out of the line you wrote. Nothing invented.

The job has to land in your software, not ours

A booking that only exists inside the phone system is worth nothing. The job lands in the diary, the customer lands in the CRM, the invoice lands in the accounts. Nothing waits to be re-keyed.

Explore all 30 Talkify connections

Connections are provided by Talkify. Capabilities vary by system: Tradify sends enquiries by email, iTrade requests visits, and Calendly sends a booking link.

Fergus, Simpro, ServiceM8, iTrade, Tradify, Cliniko, Workshop Software and TaxiCaller can be connected. Choose the connections your business needs. What each one does and where it stops is written out plainly.

How yours gets built

Nothing gets switched on out of a box, because there is no box. Four steps, and you are on the phone for one of them.

We learn the business

Half an hour on the phone, or the form at the bottom of this page. What you sell, what you charge, when you are open, who takes what, and the three questions every caller asks.

We build the assistant

Your greeting in your words. Your services and prices. Your documents loaded as the source of every answer. Your rules locked in underneath, so a persistent caller cannot talk it out of them.

We wire it to your software

The diary it books into, the CRM the customer lands in, the accounts, the job list. This step decides whether anything is left for you to re-key, so it happens before you go live rather than after.

We ring it, then you point a number at it

We test it ourselves, several times, before you hear it. Then divert the number you have, or take a fresh +64 one. Nothing to install and nothing on your desk.

Account open straight away. Assistant built, trained and tested within 24 hours. Connecting a booking or job management system can add a day or two.

What you are actually handing over

Your phone line is the front of your business. These are the four things worth knowing before you put anything in front of it.

Your calls stay in the country

Calls to +64 numbers are answered and held in New Zealand data centres. Calls to +61 numbers are answered and held in Australia. The number decides, so nothing quietly moves offshore.

Your details are not sold

What you send on the form is used to ring you back. Not sold, not shared, not put on a list. What we keep, for how long, and how to have it deleted is on the privacy page.

Every call is on the record

A recording, a transcript and an outcome, on every call. You should be able to check what it said rather than trust that it said the right thing.

Four things it will never do

Hear a card number. Diagnose anything. Claim to be a person when a caller asks. Invent an answer it was never given. Those are build rules, not good intentions.

Asked before every build

The short answers. There are more of them, in more detail, on the questions page.

Will callers know they are talking to an AI?

Most work it out within a few seconds, and it says so plainly if they ask. It is not built to pass as a person. It is built to be quick, to know the answer, and to get the job booked.

The callers who mind are the ones kept waiting or asked to repeat themselves, which is the part it is good at.

Can it book into my diary?

Yes, into the real diary. It checks what is genuinely free, offers those times and only those, and writes the booking in while the caller is still on the phone. Google Calendar and Calendly are ready now, and several booking systems have a connection of their own.

What happens when it does not know?

It says it does not know, takes the question down and passes it on. It is not allowed to invent an answer, and that rule is locked in at build time rather than being a polite request in a prompt.

When a question keeps coming up you add the answer to its documents and it has it from then on.

Can I get a New Zealand accent?

Yes. You pick the voice before it goes live and you can swap it later. New Zealand and Australian voices are both available, and so is the wording, so it says rego and callout rather than the American versions of those words.

How is this different from a phone menu?

A phone menu sorts callers into queues. A voice assistant finishes the job. The caller says what they want in their own words and hangs up with a time booked or an answer, without pressing anything.

How long does it take to build?

The account opens instantly and the assistant is built, trained and tested within 24 hours. Connecting a booking system or a job management system can add a day or two, depending on the system.

Tell us what it needs to do

Write it the way you would say it out loud. Book grooms, quote nothing, put emergencies through to my mobile. That sentence is worth more to the build than a page of requirements.

We ring you back

Usually the same working day, on the number you give us.

The account opens straight away

The assistant itself is built, trained and tested within 24 hours. It is not live on your phone the moment you press send.

Nothing goes anywhere else

Used to ring you back, and nothing else. The detail is on the privacy page.

Answer, book, quote, take payments, put people through. However you would say it out loud.

We ring you back. No card, and nothing goes live on your phone until you say so. What happens to your details is on the privacy page.
